Sunday {Scripture}

A lovely rose in a bouquet my husband gave me for Mother's Day makes the perfect backdrop for God's Word. As I move through grief, I truly pray that my heart stays focused on His will for my life and not my own. It's not easy but He gives me grace and strength to face one day at a time.

    I, too, am moving through grief and pray this prayer as I am lost without the caregiving and my Mom. My husband and I are sharing the newness of our life without the responsibilities of caregiving for three parents over our entire twenty years of marriage. God has His plans and knows what He desires for us. We just want to stay in tuned with Him. Thanks you for this reminder for me. Caring through Christ, ~ linda

  2. I an so sorry for your loss, losing a child is the hardest loss of all. I too had a tough year last year, I lost my most beloved sister in February and in JUly had to put my husband into care as I was no longer able to care for him myself.
    He has Alzheimers and it is so hard for him to cope as he still realises that his brain no longer functions.
    Your rose is so beautiful and God always helps us through everything.

  10. My heart goes out to you in your grief, Anne. Mother's Day had to be especially difficult for you. I'm so glad you're cradled in our Savior's arms. If I were there, I'd wrap you in mine as well, giving you a great big hug.

  12. Anne - How beautiful are the soft tinted edges of the very flower that emerges from a thorn-covered stem. Beauty admidst the pain. Such a beautiful picture of the truth.
    Praying with you for our eyes to remain fixed on Him and his grace!
    Hugs heart-friend,
    Kelly
