Scripture & A Snapshot {Sunday}

It's been an emotionally exhausting few weeks. The one year anniversary of my daughter's death came and went. All the 'firsts' are passed. I've been writing about life with Amy...and life without.

For so many years my life was defined by her needs. Our family was defined by her needs. Now it isn't. So I ask myself, Where do I go from here?

And I answer...

forward...

Rejoicing in my Saviour!

  4. I hold you and your family in prayer. I am so very sorry, but am encouraged by your words to move "forward".
    I have recently lost my mother whom I have been caring for for 15 years. She was 98, but her 15 years here with us was my world. Now what? I have been feeling quite lost and your word, just one word, has moved me from complacency and confusion to God's next step for me..."forward".
    Thank you, and I am so glad I came by from "The Sunday Community."

  5. My dear Anne, I did not realize it's now been a full year since Amy's death - I am truly sorry and my heart grieves with you, but your one word is perfect: forward. There is no better place to be than stepping forward with Jesus Christ. I am praying for you and your family. Your photo is beautiful and the verse is a favorite of mine - thank you for sharing.

    Hugs and blessings to you!

  16. I can't imagine your loss friend. A daughter never should have to leave this earth before her mother...but life is not fair and the only thing we do have to hang onto is the Lord. We lost our granddaughter three years ago at birth...everyday is still hard at times.

  17. All we can hope for, count on, is our dear Lord, forever and ever. And so many of my friends and family are waiting for me in heaven. That's what I can count on, day by day.

    Bless you. And I LOVE the colorful flower and the Word.
