Giveaway ~ Wild Mint Tea by Valerie Comer

About the Book
She’s rooted deep. He flies free.
Local-foods chef Claire Halford envisions turning Green Acres Farm into an event destination. Weddings prove trickier than she imagined when the first one comes with a ruggedly handsome brother-of-the-bride, who has everything but a fixed address. Oh, and faith in God.
Noel Kenzie loves the freedom his reforestation company affords him. Why worry about deep stuff like God and commitment when he’s in his prime? Except there’s a woman who might make it worth giving up his wings…and digging in some roots. If he dares.

I interviewed Valerie back in March. Here's a link to the post: Interview with "Farm Lit" author Valerie Comer

Valerie and her publisher Choose NOW Publishing are offering a copy of Wild Mint Tea to one of my blog followers. To be entered in the giveaway, tell me one thing you learned about Valerie after reading the interview. Leave your comment on THIS post along with an email address so I can contact you. I will select a winner using Random.org on 4/25. US Only due to postage costs.

  1. I liked "... I've got a fair idea where the story line will take me. Of course, there are always surprises!"
That's what I've always imagined about characters taking off, having the author hurriedly typing to keep up!
I would like to win a copy of Wild Mint Tea by Valerie Comer, and it was a "refreshing" book trailer too! Now for a cup of tea.... Kathleen ~ Lane Hill House

    1. Yes, sometimes that is exactly what characters do. The polite ones tell me what they want to do while the story is in planning. Others like to toss hand grenades in (metaphorically speaking—usually) when things are getting too predictable.

Raising my tea cup to you!

  3. It's great to meet Valerie! Thanks for the intro, Anne. :) The book sounds like a good read. I learned that Valerie likes Blue Lake Pole Beans. I liked her suggestion on how she prepares them. I must try that with our beans sometime. Thanks for offering the giveaway!

    Happy Wednesday,

    1. Another tip about green beans and asparagus...exchange them in recipes. They seem to do well in each other's place!

    2. Hey Karen, I absolutely love pole beans! When I was growing up, my moma always made them in a pressure cooker but they are SO much better sauteed :)

  4. Sounds like a fun and interesting book. - It enjoyed reading Valerie's interview. I learned they have 40 acres (which is a lot of land) and grow 2 kinds of nuts, Walnuts and Hazelnuts.

    1. Hi Ida, I think Valerie's interview is one of my favorites. I live in the country and would love a Hazelnut tree!

    2. Thanks, Ida! 40 acres is pretty small for a farm, but pretty big compared to a town lot. It's a hard size to use effectively.

  6. Hmmm, since I know Valerie, it is hard to say if I learned anything new in that interview, except maybe that I didn't realize their farm was a full 40 acres! I admire her more now! martha(at)lclink(dot)com
