A Book Lover's Dream Come True!

My friend, Carrie Fancett Pagels (who just happens to be a prolific writer/author) and I went to meet New York Times Best-Selling Author Beverly Lewis last weekend!!! I went in early to the LifeWay Christian Bookstore where the signing was to be to buy The Ebb Tide, just in case the lines would be long when the signing started at 2pm. It just so happened LifeWay was giving away, as a bonus to those who purchased The Ebb Tide early, The Quieting by Suzanne Woods Fisher! LifeWay was good to me.

Beverly Lewis signing my book, The Ebb Tide. 20 years I have been a fan of this lady! What a treat to meet her in person.

Ms Lewis is the sweetest thing! She has such a soft and gentle voice along with a delightful laugh. I told her my husband had texted me and asked me to meet him for a late lunch. I reminded him I was meeting Beverly Lewis...hello?!

Right there is the 'Queen' of Amish fiction, folks! Seriously, she has written a ton of books. From kids to adult, there is a book out there for any reader. She has even had four movies made from her books. And a musical at Blue Gate Theater in Shipshewana IN. Check her website out here.

Oh, and the line....yes, it was long!

Are you a Beverly Lewis fan? Have you read her books? If not, I encourage you to check out the older ones from your local library.

~Happy Reading~

  5. I met Beverly Lewis today! She was a sweet lady. I'm sorry she broke her ankle right before beginning her tour. I only had to wait in line about 10 minutes. I have read all of her adult Amish fiction books. I wish I had gone to one her signings at a library, where she was also talking with her audiences. What a treat that would have been.
