Old & Lonely ~ Rural Thursday

Today's photo is courtesy of my friend, Bill, in Yakima WA. He's quite the weekend explorer and always shares magnificent photos of the mountains. This past week he shared this one that he took  on a journey to Wenas Pass, WA Stagecoach Weigh Station.

It caught my attention so I asked if I could share and he graciously said yes.

Well, I suppose that's obvious :O)

There's just something that calls out to me in this photo.

What do you see?

I'm linked to Rural Thursday.

  1. that looks great! i would love to be out walking and exploring and photgraphing out there.

    1. Me too! I always imagine what family might have lived there, and all the hardships that must have been endured.
Thanks for coming by my blog today, Kamana.

  2. I can see why it speaks to you. It really does draw you in.

  3. it's does have a lonely feel to it...i could really just sit and look at it all day but i have things to do i guess lol

  4. This is a fabulous photo! It draws you in wanting to tell you a story about the past - I love it!

  5. Very creative photo ~ What I see is the 'light' coming out of the dark and shining towards the house ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^

  6. I really love that area. That's where we chose to go for our honeymoon, which was a year after we got married. That's a house I'd love to visit. I just like old things like that.

  7. I just can't imagine finding this gem...I would of been screaming to the mountain tops☺ So serene and peaceful...
