On Sunday morning I went to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee. When I saw how the early morning sunshine was peeking through the bamboo blind and highlighting this pretty blue vase with Wildflowers, I was immediately sidetracked.
I did an about face, picked up my camera and proceeded to spend 30 minutes taking photos, moving the vase to different areas of the kitchen. Would it look good further away from the window? Maybe across the room? What if I take one flower out and try to capture the beauty on the white tile counter top?
Not too many came out good enough to even edit, but I was quite pleased with this one. A little tweaking in Picmonkey and voila`.

I saw this quote on a friend's blog post and it couldn't be truer.
"Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful, for beauty is God's handwriting - a wayward sacrament. Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower, and thank God for it as a cup of blessing." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Thanks, Nina! There are so many times I think I miss out on some of the beauty because I am so busy. It is good to slow down and appreciate what God has made. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment. I hope you have an enjoyable week!

ReplyDeleteHi Beth! I didn't have too many flowers bloom this year but when I saw these in the front yard, I snagged them :) The heat is setting in here, too...whew!
DeleteIsn't it wonderful to see these special moments....special opportunities for a photograph? I love the colors and textures in these photos. (I had the same kind of experience with this week's P52 image, but I didn't have the wonderful colors that you had!)
ReplyDeleteHey Evelyn, The early morning or early evening light is my favorite time to take pictures. Your image this week is gorgeous!
