Y'all know I love thrift shopping, especially when I find two gems like
these!
This darling footed octagon-shaped Royale Limoges teacup and saucer have the sweetest pink flowers adorning them.
I tried to find the pattern online but no success.
I don't have a pink teapot so when I saw this Old Amsterdam Porcelain Works teapot, I knew it was coming home with me. It's small size is perfect for two cups of coffee or tea! Officially ,the color is Sierra Rose but I like PINK better! :-)
I’ve decided to try making a weekly post featuring one or two of my thrift store finds, past and current. I make no promises I’ll be a regular poster but I will sure try. This last photo was taken with my phone. It's not great but it actually turned out to be my favorite.
I would love it if you shared in the comments about something you’ve
rescued from a thrift store. :-)
Anne, I love your teapot and cup! I don't go thrift shopping. I'd rather spend money on books.
ReplyDeleteI do both! We have a discount store called Ollie's and they carry CF. :-)
DeleteYour cup and saucer are so pretty with the delicate pattern. I rarely get into shops nowadays, but treasure a cup and saucer that I bought for my mother from an Antique shop years ago.
ReplyDeleteThat's a treasure, for sure, Barbara!! I have a cup that belonged to my mom too, and a set of china that I don't use often. It's way too tempting sometimes NOT to buy anything. I bypassed a lovely set of vintage china this week with serving pieces! The funny thing is, I found two lonely dinner plates a few years ago with the exact pattern and bought them. I would have bought two cups and saucers this week if they were selling the pieces separately. It's the Vintage by FINE CHINA OF JAPAN pattern. ♥♥♥
DeleteAnne, I don't know the name of that pattern either, but it's a beauty, isn't it? Nice paired with the little pink teapot. (BTW, I'm doing a wonderful tea giveaway this week.)
ReplyDeleteHello, Jean! I always try and figure out the pattern but sometimes the manufacturers have so many that I think they have duplicated names. :-) I'll come over and visit your blog.
