    1. They were! I had several flocks over the years in NC and these were my last. I did love raising chickens. It's a lot of work but the rewards are worth it. :-)

  3. Hello Anne, my dad used to have chickens when I was younger and living at home. It was nice always nice to have fresh eggs. You had a lot of nice chickens.

    1. Hey Julie, My dad had chickens too. It was such fun. I remember the first time my chicken "Mrs Baker" laid an egg! I was thrilled and carefully held the egg in my hands to show my mom, then my brother bumped me and I dropped the egg. I think I cried. :)
