A few but by no means all.

They're like Lay's Potato Chips...I can't pick just one, or 10!

Firethorn by Ronie Kendig

Wolfsbane by Ronie Kendig

Maggie's Journey by Lena Nelson Dooley

The First Gardner by Denise Hildreth Jones

A Sound Among the Trees by Susan Meissner

Pirate of my Heart by Jamie Carie

The Art of Romance by Kaye Dacus

Deadly Ties by Vicki Hinze

A Vision of Lucy by Margaret Brownley

The Lady of Bolton Hill by Elizabeth Camden

(I didn't review this one, my daughter did, but I loved it)

You can click on the title of each book to read the review. I know there are a lot more great books out there because I have been reading the lists that other bloggers have made and quite a few of those books are in my TBR pile.

This doesn't even cover the Amish Fiction I read this year. Top on my list though is Amy Clipston and ANY of her books! I have read them all and eagerly await future books by her. Next would have to be Cindy Woodsmall! She is phenomenal!!! And I was introduced to Laura V. Hilton books this year. Her writing is captivating!

I have met some terrific authors and bloggers during the year through the internet. Thanks to each and every one for their encouragement, but most of all for the time they take to connect with their fans and followers!

Here's to a happy, healthy and blessed New Year full of life's wonderful adventures on the page and off!

  1. Well...sounds like I've got my work cut out for me next year. I haven't read a single one of these!!! *hanging my head in shame*

Resolution #1 - read Ronie Kendig
Resolution #2 - read Karen Witemeyer (not on your list, but on several other ones as being faves)

Also, going to try to read more outside my comfortable genres of Amish and historical. Can't wait to see what next year holds!

    Happy New Years!

  2. No hanging heads! We all read different books, some more than others, and it's fun to see who reads what.

I love Karen Witemeyer's books!!! I've read them all. I should have put her on the list! You won't be disappointed. And you really must step out and read Ronie's books! You won't know 'till you try :)

I have so many that I didn't get to this year it's not even funny. I think I will resolve to NOT over commit! I feel like I am going to be playing catch-up forever.

Hope you have a great New Year's!

  5. I've been trying to decide if I should read A Sound Among the Trees. I saw it in Blogging for Books.
I agree that Cindy Woodsmall's Amish fiction is amazing. She has such a way of making the stories really sweet, simple, and meaningful.

  7. Hi Melanie, Ronie's books are awesome!!! Hope you get around to reading them. You'll be hooked.

Like my daughter said in her review, there's so much more to Lady of Bolton Hill than what you'd expect. It really is thought provoking and extremely well written!

Your list looks great too! I really want to read Julie's new book and Laurie's new book. I love the Regency era :)

  8. Hey Evangeline! Happy New Year :0) I highly encourage you to read A Sound Among the Trees! Definitely a different kind of book but well worth the time.

Cindy can take you through the whole gamut, even in a novella! She's got talent :)
