SHORT BOOK DESCRIPTION:
As Little Cub and Grampa Bear’s fishing adventure is interrupted by mischievous otters, the young polar bear begins to question why we must love others… even the seemingly unlovable.
In answering her questions, Grampa Bear gives tender explanations that teach Little Cub about the different kinds of love that is shared between families, friends, and mamas and papas. Grampa explains that all these kinds of love come from God and that it is important to love others because…
“Any time we show love, Little Cub, we’re sharing a bit of his love.”
This sweet tale will warm the hearts of young children as they learn about all the different sorts of love, while the gentle explanations of each provide a valuable opportunity to encourage children to share with others a “God-sized love.” Now in a sturdy format, ideal for the littlest hands at storytime, bedtime, or anytime. Would make a great Christmas gift!

OK, Please tell me how you follow my blog AND your favorite book as a child!!! I was hoping for some interaction about the book and some recommendations.
ReplyDeleteI'll go first - My favorite book as a child was The Cat in the Hat by Dr Seuss and a close second was One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by....the same :)
I started following your blog because of our homeschool connection and because we share a love for books and reading! I don't remember what my favorite book was a child but my favorite book that I read to my children is "When you were just a little girl" by B.G. Hennessy. Very sweet!
ReplyDeleteHey Kim! I'm so glad we met :) It's nice to be buds with a fellow book lover! When I have a granddaughter I'll have to get that book. Thanks for coming by and entering!
ReplyDeleteForgot to add that my favorite book when my daughters were little was Flutterby and mine as a child had to be Hans Christian Anderson. I am following you on GFC and by email.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Seasons Greetings,
Patricia aka Mamaw
I read the blog when I get an e-mail through acfw. I really like what I see here. It appeals to me more than other blogs. I may subscribe at some point when I have more time to spend here. I am not on Facebook so I can't follow.
ReplyDeleteAs far as a favorite children's book when I was young, that would be hard to say because I did not have many books. I do remember one Golden Book, but I do not know the name of it. It was a simple book and it talked about God and I think it had something about saying prayers.
When my son was young we would go to the library and check out piles of picture books to read together. I feel in love with so many of them. One favorite was Blueberries for Sal.
I would love to give this book to my little nephew. I had a lot of books that I liked. It is hard to choose. I loved Curious George, The Little Engine that Could, The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears the Who. Oh wow, don't get me started.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win.
Debbie Clark
Hi Patricia, Thanks for stopping by. I'll have to look up the Flutterby book!
ReplyDeleteWould love to win this for a niece who just opened a daycare. I love these books by Lisa. Not sure how I missed this one.
ReplyDeleteHey Janice, Thank you for your kind comments! I am so happy you stopped by. I'm not very good at remembering to post through ACFW sometimes, or post regularly :) That's a curse in the blogging world, I hear!
ReplyDeleteGolden books are classics and they have some of the sweetest stories around. I think I know the one you are talking about! I bought it not long ago for my grandchildren :)
My children and I have always loved and utilized our local library. We have been blessed to have some great librarians that actually look for books and save them for my sons!I'll have to ask about Blueberries for Sal.
Hi Debbie, I loved The Little Engine that Could and still have a copy that I read to all my children:) I know what you mean about getting started...once I actually start thinking I can remember so many!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by and entering!
