When you live out in the country, you kind of get used to bugs, critters of all kinds, and weird noises. One thing I just can't get used to is spiders. No matter how many times I see them. No matter how pretty some of them are. I don't like them.
Nope.
I never will. I have ARACHNOPHOBIA.
Especially when I see this...

Mrs. Black Widow
and she was big,
but now she's dead!
oh i'm with ya! not a fan of spiders, especially the black widow!
ReplyDeleteEuuuewwwww! I'm with you too. Kill that one and the brown recluse.
ReplyDeleteWe've seen a few brown recluse over the years but they aren't near as prolific in our area as the BW. We do set off bug bombs under the house regularly, though :)
DeleteI've been finding a few spiders inside the house this spring -- they don't bother me much, but if I think they might be poisonous, I generally kill them -- in vie of having indoor pets.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I agree, Nancy. Kill those suckers ;)
DeleteWe get black widows here too. Last summer we discovered one in the truck the boys always play with outside. Freaked us out!
ReplyDeleteYep. I found one on the porch swing one day...freaked doesn't cover what I was :)
DeleteI'm not afraid of spiders... unless they are venomous. After we moved from Ohio to Missouri, Hubs got bit by a Brown Recluse Spider on two different occassions. Ever since then, I'm much more wary of the spiders.
ReplyDeleteOh, and let's not even get started on the snakes!
The only ones I'm sure about are black widow & brown recluse, but I kill them all! Snakes, as long as they are black, can stay :)
DeleteI'm not a big fan of spiders but they DO eat bugs. Living in the tropics you come to appreciate anything that takes care of the bug population! Let's say spiders are not all bad. Just the ones that jump or make you jump! Don't like jumping spiders!
ReplyDeleteNever liked those jumping spiders when we lived down south! Totally creeped me out. I got a lot of exercise running from them :)
DeleteSpiders scare me.
ReplyDeleteWe've been invaded by spiders and tiny ants this spring. The spiders are not poisonous but the ants are hard to get rid of.
We have a lot of ants too and Yes, they are SO hard to get rid of. In fact, I can say I haven't managed to get rid of them. Even over the winter they would wander in somehow :)
