Cute beaded bag for sale in one of the Biltmore House gift shops. |
1. Big spiders, crawling fast like a locomotive at high speed, make me jump and run, but first I always, ALWAYS jerk my feet up off the floor :)
2. My neighbor has barn cats and that's fine but when they multiply like fleas it is not...fine, that is. I caught a couple of them and called animal control. Yep. I'm the one.
3. I might have taken a few photos inside Biltmore House ;)
4. My chicken Smithy, is an outcast. The others don't like her. Maybe it's her good looks. (I am assuming that Smithy is a she now, since the comb is staying small)
5. Cake and brownies are good for breakfast. I should know. I had cake this morning.
Do you eat leftover dessert for breakfast?
Cake and brownies??? I'll be right there! (giggle)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful beaded artwork/bag.
Happy 5 Day!
-g-
Another morning cake eater! YAY!!!
DeleteThat's some bag! Cake for breakfast makes my mouth water and just thinking about it adds 5 lbs to me ... which is way cake is not often around! Here's to Smithy ... long may she reign! :D Happy 5 Day!
ReplyDeleteIt's an awesome bag, right? Regretfully, Smithy doesn't reign on the coop. She's the biggest of the birds but gets picked on :(
DeleteMy MIL would love that bag -- she drives a yellow 1972 Super Beetle. She's awesome like that.
ReplyDeleteDessert for breakfast? Doesn't everybody do that?
We had a "neighbor" like that with all the cats running wild and multiplying. Totally irresponsible. All of our cats are fixed.
Thanks so much for sharing Anne. Love your 5 facts. xo
Nancy, VW's are the coolest cars ever :) I drove a 68 Bus with flowers painted all over it for years!
DeleteLove getting to know a bit more about you, Anne. I'm not a fan of spiders either and have been known to make some interesting sounds when startled by one of the speedy critters.
ReplyDeleteI've given up sweets and sugar for the most part, but I enjoy fresh fruit and smoothies made with fresh fruit. I'll gladly enjoy either for breakfast.
Keli, I love smoothies! Fresh fruit is good anytime and I had peach puree on the cake, so does that count? ;)
DeleteHmmm ... I agree. (On all of the above, although I don't personally know Smithy.)
ReplyDeleteA kindred spirit!
Deletethat is some purse, wonderful bead work. I had chocolate cake for breakfast today because it is going dry and hubby doesn't eat chooclate thingies anymore, bad news for my hips.
ReplyDeleteBut so much more for you! I have to share with my husband and two sons ;)
DeleteCake is an all rounded breakfast, it has eggs, milk, butter, flour and sugar...could be pancakes! Just one question: Did you purchase that beaded bag for your daughter?
ReplyDeleteI did not purchase that bag for my hippie daughter! After all, it was in the gift shop at Biltmore and you know what that means...big $$$.
DeleteYes. I eat dessert for breakfast sometimes. And sometimes leftover dinner.
ReplyDeleteLisa, YES! I love leftovers of anything in the morning. A lot of times dinner is better then, and breakfast at dinner :)
DeleteI love that purse!
ReplyDeleteAnd oreos can be good for breakfast too. But that will be our secret. ;)
Oh Mary! Oreos and a big ice cold glass of milk, but I won't tell ;)
DeleteYum - cake anytime! I feel the same about spiders, although I'm not sure I pick up my feet, I might just scream. The bead bag is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWell, when it's running across the floor close to your feet... :)
Deleteheel mooi tasje.dat valt tenminste goed op.
ReplyDeleteCake is good, yes!
Deletecake for breakfast, really? i don't know if i could do that??? need to try though. ha. ha! ( :
ReplyDeletei always make sure i have a shoe or something to smash those silly spider with ... yuck!!
Definitely try cake for breakfast! You'll be a convert ;)
DeleteGreat minds think alike - I was going to eat my husband's birthday cake for breakfast :) Hey, it had strawberries in it so that means it's healthy, right? I don't understand why God had to create spiders, I am sure the is a perfectly good reason, but I won't know until I get to heaven and ask Him :) Have a beautiful weekend, friend!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!
I knew we were kindred spirits, Stephanie! Yeah, I put spiders right up there with mosquitoes and ticks...just cannot see the reason for them ;) Have a blessed weekend! {{hugs}}
Deletecake for breakfast - yum! perfect with coffee, i say!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, coffee is a must, with or without cake :)
DeleteI like the bag, Anne. ~~ I will be glad when more men start carrying bags. Then I could. I don't like too much junk in my pants pockets but where else could it put it?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the matter with barn cats? I am glad so many of them can be free!
Soon they will become extinct like so many wolf varieties.
..
Hi Jim, Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. There's nothing wrong with having a barn cat. What I don't appreciate is irresponsible pet ownership. These cats come over to our barn and garage and breed, year after year. The owner doesn't have them vaccinated. Some of them carry rabies and have to be put down. Have your pet spayed or neutered, is my motto.
DeleteI love that purse! It's a treasure.
ReplyDeleteWe have a neighbor who apparently doesn't believe in spay/neuter. It's so sad, because it's the kitties that suffer.
Tina, You are so right! It's never the owner who pays the price for not being responsible. The sad thing is that my neighbor doesn't vaccinate the kitties, either. If they were healthy it might be a different story. But I live out in the boonies where it is acceptable to let them run wild and breed free. Sigh...
DeleteOh my goodness, love that bag! I bet sneaking photos with a phone is easy. I'd do it.
ReplyDeleteAmy! You're a rebel too, huh? If my phone took good pictures I would have thought of that. Might mean I need a better phone ;)
DeleteGreat Random 5! Wow, that beaded bag is something! I didn't participate this week but will be back this coming Friday. Sorry it took me so long to respond to your comment on my post TWO weeks ago! I am a little overwhelmed these days for someone who is retired! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh Marie, no worries! Sometimes I forget where I commented and it might be months(!!!) before I return :)
DeleteYou know, I didn't even check the price on the bag. Just assumed it would be costly because of where it was selling. Might need to check that out a little further :)
Have a great week!
I had to laugh when I read no. 4.
ReplyDeleteAnd I do the same when I see spiders. I actually scramble to somewhere high enough whenever I see anything creepy-crawly approaching me. :p :)
Now Evangeline, Why would you laugh at me owning a chicken? ;) I actually own 26 of them!
DeleteI'm glad you enjoyed your hiatus. I'm looking forward to more enlightening reviews from you!
Well, it is amusing that chickens actually have outcasts. :P Wow, are you rearing them for their meat or eggs? My mom took in a couple of chickens for a week or so some years back. Before we slaughtered them, she made us to hold the chickens and then took pictures. I was so terrified the chickens would poop on my hands, haha.
DeleteThanks! I've missed blogging.
Just for the eggs. I'm too much of a sissy to use them for meat. I grew up on a farm and watched chickens beheaded too many times....YUCK! But I love them for pet privileges and eggs :) And they do have personalities.
