1. My husband and I celebrate 31 crazy years next week. That's a windchime we bought on our 20th anniversary, and it hangs on our front porch. I love the way it sounds and it always reminds me of our time together. The other day I posted this quote about my husband - “I love the ground under his feet, and the air over his head, and everything he touches and every word he says. I love all his looks, and all his actions and him entirely and all together.”
― Emily Brontë
2. I have some serious vertigo happening and it is taking all I have in me to get this post made.
3. We've had so much rain, along with cooler temps, that things are starting to mold. Ew! So we turned the a/c back on today to pull out some of the moisture.
4. I have 12 books in my review stack. This vertigo better ease up so I can get back to reading!
5. Saturday marks 12 years my mom has been gone. I miss her terribly.
**Bonus trivia - 14 years ago today we moved into our home. It was 104* outside and the house had no a/c. Today it is going to be 84* and the a/c is ON! What does that say about me?! :-)

How are y'all doing this week?
Congrats on 31 yrs. that is awesome!!!
ReplyDeletei hope you get to the doctor & get help with your vertigo ... i know several folks that have had to deal with that. no fun at all. ( :
Hi Beth, Thanks for stopping by! I'm just a little woozy today, not near as bad as last night. Have a great weekend!
DeleteIn answer to your bonus trivia, it says you're getting smarter as you get older! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Have a great weekend :)
DeleteWindchimes is such a neat way to remember an anniversary. My 20th is in 3 years - maybe we can do that!
ReplyDeleteHappy 31st! :-)
I had an attack of vertigo back in February that knocked me out for almost 3 weeks. Awful stuff. I hope you feel better soon. Seabands helped me a little - you can get them in CVS near the Dramamine.
Hey Lisa, We have not regretted spending the money on the chimes! It was a little different way to remember but they are awesome :) Feeling a little woozy in the head but not near as dizzy so hoping it is on the way out. Have a fun weekend with your sweet boys :)
DeleteI like your wind chime . . . and the wonderful things you said about your husband. I like hearing about happy lives and love.
ReplyDeleteI hope your vertigo gets resolved . . . and soon. Try the SeaBands, I use them each time I ride in the car, air, boat. I also use one Bonine . . . it might help.
Hi Lynne, Thanks for the kind words. I may have to give the SeaBands a try. Have a sunny weekend!
DeleteHappy Anniversary! Vertigo is no fun. When I get vertigo is usually means my allergies are acting up and my ears are the first to go ... then the sinuses. I've always been a bit backwards! ;) I'll take your rain.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I would gladly give you some rain :0)
DeleteAnne,
ReplyDeleteWhat a memorable week!
Happy Anniversary to you and the Hubby.
I hope your vertigo eases up. That does not sound fun.
We have enjoyed cooler than normal July temps too. It's raining this morning and the outlook is for more cool temps.
Yesterday, I started reading Gone with the Wind.
Keep the good memories of your Mom. I moved 8 hours away from home and miss my Mom like crazy. I love that we can keep in contact with texting.

Oh, Gone with the Wind!!! Love that book :)
Delete31 years, fantastic! lucky you. I hope that vertigo finishes up soon. My Mom would be 98 today, I buy her favourite flowers each year and I feel closer to her this day than than any other, she died 27 years ago, it seems like yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, I don't think we ever stop missing our loved ones. Thanks for coming by today. Have a great weekend.
DeleteCongratulations! We celebrated 31 years in July. I celebrated by giving Hubs a handmade card that said Happy 32nd Anniversary. He obviously didn't marry me for my math skills.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteHappy Anniversary, Anne! Praying God's blessings upon you and your husband, and that the vertigo would leave.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gwendolyn!
DeleteYay for 31 beautiful years! That's fabulous. :).
ReplyDeleteI hope your vertigo clears up very soon. It's the pits.
Do you have blog where you review books? I'd love to read it! I always have a stack to read, and i love to find new reading blogs!
Hi Mary, I post all my reviews here. You can search using the tag 'review' and it should bring up all the ones I've done.
DeleteCongrats on 31 yrs. Our 31st anniv. is next week the 7th.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend with vertigo. Must be hard.
I'm with you on the heat thing.
Martha
Hi Martha, Ours is the 7th too!!! Happy Anniversary to you & yours :)
DeleteHappy Anniversary; I love that you brought a wing chime to celebrate on your 20th...A gift that keeps on giving.....
ReplyDeleteSorry about the vertigo; that is definitely no fun...I hope it soon goes away so you can get back to reading and all the other things you enjoy....
Hey Nancy, Hope your week went well and that you have a wonderful weekend exploring in the mountains :) I always like seeing your pictures!
DeleteHappy Anniversary to the both of you. Such a pretty chime... to remind you with every breeze of the love that you two have. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteThank you :) It's a blessing to live on a hill that always has a breeze, too.
DeleteCongratulations on this milestone Anne. I'm sure you could offer some sage advice to today's young newlyweds out there. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nancy! I don't know about sage advice...put God first and be true to each other. Take the vow seriously!
DeleteMy husband & I will be married just 16 years this month.. My mom gave us a windchime for our 15th anniversary last summer. I love the engraving on yours!
ReplyDeleteHope that vertigo clears up for you, or is gone already!
My book stack has been ridiculous this summer.. feels good to be knocking it down during the past few weeks.
I hope you get as many happy hours from your wind chime as we do. It's such a treasure to sit on the porch and hear those beautiful tones serenading us :)
DeleteThis was such an incredibly sweet post! Love the wind chime, and loved the poem from Emily Bronte....my husband and I recently celebrated 43 years together. He is my best friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Marie. 43 years...AWE. SOME. God is so good to have given us our husbands for so many years! Mine is my best friend too.
DeleteHappy 31 years to you and your sweetie, Anne! The wind chime is a treasure for sure. My hubby and I celebrated 43 years together this past June.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you too, Kitty! It's inspiring to hear about others who have been married even longer :)
