Valentine's Giveaway because we LOVE our Followers!!!

Be sure and read the entire post as there are two giveaways, one for Contiguous US followers and one for International followers. I wish it was feasible to send a great big old package anywhere in the world but that's just not economical with postal prices being what they are nowadays.

Rebecca and I appreciate each and every one of you, our precious followers!!! You support us in our reading endeavors and are so kind to stop by and encourage us by leaving comments and asking questions. We want to share with you the opportunity to win three delightful books and this lovely journal as our way of saying Thank You!

We love and appreciate our International followers too!!!
Soooo....Y'all can enter to win A Season to Wed: Three Winter Love Stories, from authors Cindy Kirk, Rachel Hauck, and Cheryl Wyatt!

These stories are part of the A Year of Weddings #2 and include December, January and February novellas. I purchased a gift certificate for them through Amazon and will be sending it through email, so be sure and leave your email addy in case you win!

Now, if you're visiting for the first time or perhaps you have visited before but just haven't signed up to follow us, you can do so in the right sidebar. There are several ways too! We prefer GFC as it is a 'visible' number to publishers or authors who might check out our blog but it's certainly not the only way you can sign up. :-)

Here are the rules of entry for both giveaways:
  • Please leave your email address in a non-spammy format so we can contact if you are the winner! No email address, no entry.
  • You must be a follower of the blog to be entered in either drawing.
  • To be entered, leave a comment below telling us your favorite romantic story. Maybe it's your own! :-)
  • Tell us which country you live in!
  • Winner will be randomly drawn on Tuesday, February 14th.
Since Rebecca and I don't reside in the same town anymore, our Contiguous US winner will receive two shipments. Rebecca will be mailing two of the books and I will be mailing one book and the journal.

Thanks again for being a book buddy!

“Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:28b-31

  4. My favorite love story is my own. By accident, I came home with a friend and met a guy home on leave from the army. This was the first time I had been away from home during a holiday. We all went to a party later on in the evening and from across the room this guy smiled and winked at me. I was hooked right then and there. To make a long story short, we married eleven months later and that was forty-two years ago. His wink still melts my heart!

I am a follower! I live in the great state of Texas in our United States and I love to read. Thank you for the opportunity.

  6. I suppose the greatest love story is that of our Lord.
But I often go back to Elizabeth Goudge and The Little White Horse, a story of young love.
Thank you for including international readers, Anne.

  10. Thought provoking question....from fiction probably one of my favorites is Gone With The Wind.....from personal experience/life it would be that of my parents who were young adults during WWII. They had a whirlwind romance, as was somewhat typical during that time period, and they were happily married for 42 years when my Mom passed after a brief fight with cancer. 11. First time on this blog. My favorite story is my own, I suppose :)
My husband and I were friends for a few years but were dating other people whom we thought we'd marry. Subsequently, our relationships ended and we stated dating.... three months later, we were engaged and within a year, we were married. Still happy after 16 years!
    I live in US.

  12. I would have to say my favorite love story is also mine. At the age of 40 I had pretty much written romance . Just didn't think it was going to happen for me.
My dad and I were bowling in a league together , and usually it's the same teams year after year , but lo and behold a few years back a new team joined . My now husband and his brother and a couple of work friends of theirs joined... He said he noticed me right away , at the very first league meeting . It was a couple months later before he finally asked me out , but as they say the rest is history.

  14. I'm a big fan of Denise Hunter's romance books. Everytime I've read her latest, I think I like it better than the one before. :-) I have read many romance stories by several authors, but I always come back to Denise's books. I think The Wishing Season might be my favorite or maybe Falling Like Snowflakes. I can't really choose.
As you know, I live in the Netherlands.
I just followed your blog. I thought I already did that long time ago, but apparently not.

    1. Hey Marian, Denise has written some fabulous romances! My favorite of hers is The Convenient Groom. I know it must have been exciting for her to see it turned into a movie but the book is MUCH better. :-)

You were subscribed to my blog when I had the old URL duhpaynes. I changed it a couple of years ago to my name and most of my followers didn't come over here. No worries though.

  15. I didn't know you still had a blog, Miss Annie. sheesh! That's bc my head has been buried in my own, I guess. :P I can't pick a favorite romantic book bc there are just too many! When hubby and I first met he asked me out and since he didn't have much money we went to his motel's swimming pool. I took my clothes off by the pool since my bikini was underneath. Yes, I did and could wear one way back then. lol My then "future" hubby was walking by the pool and he was so entranced by me in that bikini, he fell in the pool! In his clothes, shoes, everything. I started laughing so hard until I realized he was in trouble. He couldn't swim! :o Before I got a chance to save him he was able to grab to the side and pull himself out. Maybe more funny than romantic, but it was love at first dive for him - or perhaps love at first sight of me in that bikini. hehe And we are still together 45 years later.

As you know I live in SC. :)

Like I told Marian, when I switched to my name for the blog address, a lot of people thought I quit blogging even though I sent out notices. I think when we get used to someone being in the same 'place', it's hard to switch. No worries! :-)

    2. All I know is that this princess has definitely outgrown her bikini! I might be able to get it to fit one leg. haha I think I snagged him with the bikini, and kept him with my cooking. ;)
