The Bridge to Belle Island by Julie Klassen ~ E-Book DEAL!!!

About the Book

After a humiliating mistake, lawyer Benjamin Booker resolves to never again trust a beautiful woman. When an old friend is killed, the senior partner isn't satisfied with Bow Street's efforts and asks Benjamin to investigate. Eager to leave London for a while, Benjamin agrees. Evidence takes him to a remote island on the Thames, a world unto itself, shrouded in mist and mystery. Soon he finds himself falling for the main suspect—a woman who claims not to have left the island in ten years. But should he trust her?

On Belle Island, Isabelle feels safe and leads a productive life, but fear keeps her trapped there. When Mr. Booker arrives with news of her trustee's murder in London, Isabelle is stunned. She has not left the island, yet she has a recurring dream about the man's death. Or is it a memory? She had been furious with him, but she never intended...this.

When a second person dies, and evidence shockingly points to her, Isabelle doesn't know who to trust: the attractive lawyer or the admirer and friends who assemble on the island, each with grudges against the victim. Can she even trust her own mind? While they search for the truth, secrets come to light and danger comes calling.

Then on the night of her engagement party, a cancer diagnosis threatens to once again steal her chance to shine.

Now, Jillian’s on the road to recovery after finally finishing chemo and radiation, but residual effects of the treatment keep her from reclaiming her life as she’d hoped. And just when her dreams might be falling into place, a life-altering revelation from her husband sends her reeling again.

Will Jillian ever achieve her own dreams, or will she always be “just Jillian,” the less-than Thatcher sister? Can she count on her sisters as she tries to step into a stronger place, or are they stuck in their childhood roles forever?

Things I Never Told You by Beth K Vogt is ON SALE!!!

Y'all don't want to miss this beautiful beginning to
the Thatcher Sisters series!

It’s been ten years since Payton Thatcher’s twin sister died in an accident, leaving the entire family to cope in whatever ways they could. No longer half of a pair, Payton reinvents herself as a partner in a successful party-planning business and is doing just fine—as long as she manages to hold her memories and her family at arm’s length.

But with her middle sister Jillian’s engagement, Payton’s party-planning skills are called into action. Which means working alongside her opinionated oldest sister, Johanna, who always seems ready for a fight. They can only hope that a wedding might be just the occasion to heal the resentment and jealousy that divides them . . . until a frightening diagnosis threatens Jillian’s plans and her future. As old wounds are reopened and the family faces the possibility of another tragedy, the Thatchers must decide if they will pull together or be driven further apart.

Review & Blog Tour ~ The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey by Carolyn Miller

The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey
Regency Brides: A Legacy of Grace
By Carolyn Miller

Tour Dates: October 23-27, 2017

: : :

About the Book

Will a damaged reputation and desire for society's approval thwart the legacy of grace?
Tainted by scandal and forced to leave London for the quieter Brighton countryside, the Honorable Miss Clara DeLancey is a shadow of her former society self. She's lost the man she loved to another and, in a culture that has no patience for self-pity, is struggling with depression. A chance encounter brings her a healing friendship with the sisters of an injured naval captain. But Clara's society mama is appalled at the new company she's keeping.
Captain Benjamin Kemsley is not looking for a wife. But his gallant spirit won't let him ignore the penniless viscount's daughter--not when she so obviously needs assistance to keep moving forward from day to day. Can he protect his heart and still keep her safe?
When they're pushed into the highest echelons of society at the Prince Regent's Brighton Pavilion, this mismatched couple must decide if family honor is more important than their hopes. Can they right the wrongs of the past and find future happiness together--without finances, family support, or royal favor?

My Review
4 STARS!!!

If you have read the two previous books, you will be familiar with Clara. She made a mess of things for a certain couple, completely embarrassing herself, and is now ostracized from ‘the ton’. Of course, her mother was mostly to blame for her poor behavior. Now Clara is feeling desperate, lost, and unlovable, and so chooses a drastic measure. Fortuitously, Ben comes to her rescue and is somewhat bewitched by the soulful creature he saves.

I enjoyed the story even though it was a slow start for me. It took a few chapters to become invested enough to want to continue on and see if Clara could regain her honorable standing in society and how that magnificent feat would be accomplished. Ben is a kind and noble man dealing with his own demons from the past.

The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey is full of intrigue, betrayal, jealousy, friendship, and love. With superb themes of grace and forgiveness, Miller brings the characters through emotionally trying circumstances to a realization that their pasts can be forgiven and there is a future filled with hope because of Christ.

If you are a fan of Regency or historical fiction with a solid faith theme, you will enjoy this offering from Miller who has a firm grasp on the era and presents it in fashion. I am quite happy to say there is another series coming in 2018 with more Regency Brides!

Kregel Publications Blog Tour, Review ~ The Captivating Lady Charlotte By Carolyn Miller (Regency Brides, A Legacy of Grace) + FREE ebooks ONE DAY ONLY

Kregel Publications / 2017

Her heart is her own--but her hand in marriage is another matter

Lady Charlotte Featherington is destined for great things on the marriage market. After all, as the beautiful daughter of a marquess, she should have her pick of the eligible nobility hen she debuts. She, however, has love at the top of her list of marriageable attributes. And her romantic heart falls hard for one particularly dashing, attentive suitor. Sadly for Charlotte, her noble father intends her betrothed to be someone far more dull.

William Hartwell may be a duke, but he knows he was Charlotte's father's pick, not the young lady's own choice. And the captivating Lady Charlotte does not strike him as a woman who will be wooed by his wealth or title. While she has captured his heart, he has no idea how to win hers in return--and the betrayal and scandal his first wife put him through makes it difficult for him to believe that love can ever be trusted. His only hope is that Charlotte's sense of responsibility will win out over her romantic notions.

Can a widowed duke and a romantically inclined lady negotiate a future and discover love beyond duty? Will they be able to find healing and hope from the legacy of grace? Poignant and charming, this is another beautifully written, clean and wholesome Regency romance from Carolyn Miller.

My Review
5 STARS!!!

I was captivated with Miller’s writing when I read her debut novel, The Elusive Miss Ellison, and I remain in awe of her ability to present a fine offering in her sophomore novel, The Captivating Lady Charlotte.

While I confess that in the beginning I was convinced I was going to dislike Charlotte the entire book, as her character grew in maturity from a shallow debutante into a mature, faith-filled young woman she captured my heart. I have no real ability to understand what it must have been like to have your prospective husband chosen for you but with Miller’s first-rate writing ability, I agonized right along with Charlotte over her father’s choice for her until I too became more familiar with William. Although I do believe I ‘fell in love’ with him long before Charlotte did! He is everything she needed in a husband and later discovered that she wanted. I thought William embodied Colossians 3:12 ~ So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience...
What's not to love?!

Journeying with William and Charlotte through difficult circumstances and seeing the changes wrought through Christ’s love buoyed my heart. I admit it was a slow start for me but somewhere along the line it picked up speed and I didn’t want to put the book down! There is a place sealed on my book shelf for Carolyn Miller’s stories. I highly recommend this series to any and all fans of historical fiction.
