Playing with {Textures} and a Barn

They should never have built a barn there, at all -
Drip, drip, drip! - under that elm tree,
Though when it was young. Now it is old
But good, not like the barn and me.

{Excerpt from The Barn by Edward Thomas}

Texture used:
Organic Paper 1 by Nancy Claeys
(and a lot of editing in Picmonkey that I didn't write down)

  6. I love old barns. I love the quote too, as we have often said that same thing about where our barn was built! It is not under a drippy tree but in a natural flood area! We moved here not knowing that, of course, but discovered it shortly after the first downpour ;)

  12. It's a great barn! I see it all the time and finally stopped to take a photo yesterday. There was a car behind me so I only got the one shot but it was workable :)

    Thanks for all the kind and encouraging comments! I really appreciate the time each of you has taken to come by today. Have a great week!

  22. Thanks, Y'all! Your comments mean so much to me. I am learning some lessons from this one. I didn't save a high resolution copy with the editing done before I re-sized the image and it is not print worthy. Plus, I didn't write down what I did to get it to look this way :(
