This disc plow has been used by a neighboring farmer for many, many years. It's seen a lot of dirt and rain, and maybe some other stuff we won't mention ;) |
Not your typical Suburban but my father-in-law has been 'driving' it for ages. Pretty cool looking wheelbarrow!
Old timey or Vintage, either way these are some great pieces in their own right. Don't you think so?

I'm participating in Random 5 Friday where you share 5 random facts about you, your day, your pets, your kids, whatever!
My 5 Random Facts this week:
1. I like flowers but don't have a green thumb.
2. Room darkening drapes are the best.

4. My husband and I built our boys a tractor bunk bed when we moved to the country.
5. I like the ocean but not sand.

26 chicks in your kitchen? You're braver than I ! :) Won't that be nice when you're getting all those fresh eggs?
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the disc. Brings back memories from when I was a child.
ReplyDeleteI like the room darkening drapes, too.
I love flowers, too. My green thumb is fair to middling. :-)
These are incredible photos! And I loved the 5 random facts about you :) I also love the flowers, but I think I have a brown thumb. Have a blessed weekend!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Stephanie
I like the old wheelbarrow and disc. I love flowers too. I have somewhat of a green thumb.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! I'm imagining the noise in your kitchen from the 26 baby chicks. I hope they relocate happily.
ReplyDeleteBlessings for a wonderful weekend,
Dotti :)
26 chicks, do they sing during the night? No green thumbs here either, I underwater, my husband overwaters,we've even drawn up water schedules without success.
ReplyDeleteI remember using a wheelbarrow like that when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteI love flowers and need to work on my green thumb. My house plants are handing on to entertain me.
Good Luck raising your baby chicks. Pullet eggs by fall!
I don't like water. I should say being in water .... swimming. I enjoy taking boat rides across a lake or river.

Love the vintage hues, especially the turquoise!
ReplyDeleteWe have a few of those old-timey wheel barrows with the hard rubber tires that never wear out or need to be pumped up. Love 'em.
ReplyDeleteMy chicks finally got up the nerve to go to the outside enclosure and love it -- they were getting too big for their area too.
Thanks so much for sharing today Anne -- I always enjoy your facts and photos. xo
You really had me pondering the difference between vintage and old-timey. Is there one? I love the suburban - I can just imagine driving that around town. I love flowers and grow a lot of perennials - but I call my garden "the survival of the fittest garden". I choose flowers that pretty much grow themselves. I love the ocean, don't mind the sand, but have real issues with humidity. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat rustic shot ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteLove the "old-timey" look of these items! Beautifully captured, too.
ReplyDeleteI love that wheelbarrow! And, I'm with you on the sand and ocean!
