This display of brightly colored yo-yo's caught my eye in the little country store we went to out at Murray's Mill a few weeks ago.
1. I am no good with a yo-yo.
2. There are too many types of ceramic tile for me to choose a favorite. My kitchen floor may never get done.
3. One of these days I will learn that furniture in a showroom is B.I.G.
4. My car might need to be detailed. There's something black ve-ry close to the rubber around the windows.
5. Five 40' pecan trees are enough. Really. I do not understand why my husband thinks we should let new ones continue to grow.

I think men are just like that :-), I could never master yo-yo's or hula-hoops-there is always too much of everything to choose, and I usually want it all. Good luck choosing the ceramic.
ReplyDeleteI could never master the yo-yo either. There are also too many choices of white paint. I had to go through over 30 paint chips of white just to match my window woodwork.
ReplyDeleteYo-Yo??? I've seen people (professionals) do amazing things with them . . . I've seen kids do even BETTER - Me?? up and down . . then . . hang.
ReplyDeleteYour picture is amazing!
love & love,

Yo yos no nos, but I do have a hula hoop sitting around waiting for me to show it some action! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the yo-yos. So colorful. I was never very good at making one do tricks. If I got one to go up and down, I was happy.
ReplyDeleteI love yo-yos ... memories! I'd be overwhelmed by tile selections -- good luck. I laughed when I read your comment about furniture in showrooms being BIG ... YES! 5 pecan trees sounds like enough to me -- unless you have a pecan farm.... !!!! Have a fun weekend having your car detailed....!!!!
ReplyDeletethe hubby & my brother are great with a yo-yo ... myself not so much ... i an do it for a turn or two & then it falls. ha. ha!! ( :
ReplyDeletehave a good weekend.
ik wist niet dat ze nog bestonden.
ReplyDeleteWe have one of those yo yos! One of the boys picked it out at the Children's museum last summer. I can't yo yo very well though.
ReplyDeleteGood eye on the yo yo image -- I used to be pretty good with one, but now I'd likely knock myself out with it.
ReplyDeleteHave a super weekend Anne!
I've gotten so I assume all furniture is too big for me and too big for my house. It's all made big because of all the new tall open ceiling houses and how large people have become. None of it fits in my house. Good think I have lots of antigues.
ReplyDeleteI never could do the yo yo either, but my Dad and brothers were all really good at it.

Our brother was really good with the yo-yo, I had my moments but nothing like him! On the ceramic tiles just go with one that has some tooth to it, and not white. Furniture is BIG! When we bought our sofa it barely fit through the front door and made everything look miniature. Pecan trees, they make nice shade in your yard and wonderful pecan pies in the fall! Yum. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI see pie in your future.
ReplyDeletebeautiful colours & composition...lovely!
ReplyDeleteBig showrooms do make furniture look small. I bought an oversized chair in one that I thought was perfect for an upstairs bedroom but the delivery fellows like to have never gotten it up the stairs. Oh well.
ReplyDeletebecause at the right time, speciality wood like pecan can go for high $$$ per cord when the new housing market upsweeps. Enough to fund a trip to europe and buy new furniture... ;) but i heard it also makes for good firewood
