Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
~ Proverbs 3:3
“I have one desire now - to live a life of reckless abandon for the Lord,
putting all my energy and strength into it.”

ReplyDeleteThe Elliots story is so amazing and a great legacy for the world. Thank you for reminding us with this post.
ReplyDeleteThe Elliots broke into my heart when I was 11 and the newspaper in Tacoma was at my house and filled with the info re: the missionaries' deaths, etc. I remember lying on the living room floor reading this and wanting to go to South America someday. AND I didn't know the Lord then at all, but this truly entered me. Now, still is, still does. [And have been blessed to be a missionary, but didn't make it to South America, but "just" to Africa.] You obviously got my mind and heart filled with overwhelmingness this moment in time. Thank you.
