my photo submission for the CameraShy Take52 Photography Challenge - week 36/ theme: Old fashioned |
1. I adore old fashioned looking jewelry. These gorgeous crystal-studded Victorian Inspired Blue Cameo earrings were made by my friend, Christy at Belle on a Budget. She owns her own Etsy shop....obviously J
3. Tonight the a/c will be turned off for the final time this summer season. We are looking forward to the cooler night temps and sleeping with the windows open. There are lots of night sounds out here in the country that lull us into a deep sleep.
4. The only thing right now keeping me from sleeping better is Snow. She decides to wake up after 9pm and play. And by play, I mean tearing through the house like something is chasing her, leaping onto the bed and springing up and around and then diving for cover...in my hair!
5. Oh, one day this week we got a total of nine, yep NINE eggs! Each day or two we seem to get a new layer. It's so exciting but two of them still lay in the coop despite my son making an extra nest box and sitting it in there. L

Your kitty is darling! My pup had me up at 5:45 this morning (and did that for about 8 months straight until recently...hope we aren't going back to that again!) so I feel your pain. Happy belated birthday! I also love the cooler evenings. I am jealous of your eggs! We have seven hens, but recently they have taken to not laying in the coop! Egg hunts daily...and half of them I can't find this week! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe earrings are gorgeous; your friend is very talented....And yes, I understand about what you are going through with Snow as Simon has taken to tapping me on the face if I am not turned so he can lay in a certain position next to me...Sounds wonderful that you can have fresh eggs when you want them. I keep trying to persuade my hubby to lets get some chickens in the mountains but not being up there all the time presents a problem.....
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend...
love the earrings! sleeping and kitties just don't go together! i wish i was turning off the AC ... maybe by November! lovely to have fresh eggs.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm enjoying your photos Anne, so no hurry on the book reviews! Lol.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting more eggs too from the ornamentals -- very small compared to the Rocks but two make a nice breakfast. :)
die zijn prachtig.een fijn weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove those earrings. You friend is very talented.
ReplyDeleteThose earrings are just stunning! Your friend is so talented :) Yay for turning the AC off! We have been having cooler temperatures here and it's lovely. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I love those earrings! Very beautiful, and I love the way you've photographed them on the teacup. I like old-fashioned jewelry, too. In fact, I just love jewelry, period. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to cooler weather. It's supposed to get down in the 50s and maybe even the 40s at night this weekend. We will probably leave the AC on for a while, though, because there are still some days in the 80s in our future.
QUE PRECIOSAS FOTOS , MARAVILLOSAS ,GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR

I like the photo of your earrings, very nice. We've 2 cats that don't really sleep through the night and a young one that is like yours, thank goodness it isn't my hair he likes to snuffle.
ReplyDeleteWindows open sleeping is wonderful. :).
ReplyDeleteKitties are fun, but yes, more active at night until they get older. Maybe Snow is hunting? Lol.
Those earrings are lovely!
Your friend has talent ... the earrings are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes! the sounds of the night ... sleeping with the windows open ... while a cool breeze dances around the room. Love it!!!
What lovely earrings! Your friend is talented indeed. I love the vintage look and color. Your Snow sounds like my kitties, but they have settled down now that they are 9 and 10. I didn't realize this was originally a blog about books. I love photography and books, so I'm fine with whatever you want to post :)
ReplyDeleteHave turned off the air here too and opened up the windows. Wonderful for sleeping. I love seeing your photos so you can just keep showing them.
ReplyDeleteThe earrings are very pretty and I love your photo!
ReplyDeleteI also love the look of older jewelry. LOVE these cameo earrings.
