  1. I read your review! It sounds like a great book! We will be spending Thanksgiving at home. It will just be my husband and kids. We will cook a turkey (I am hoping we can smoke it) and have some yummy sides to go with it. Perhaps even a pie for dessert. :) jumpforjoy at gmail dot com.

Happy Thanksgiving, Anne! I hope you and your family have a great week!

  4. We will decorate our Christmas tree while the turkey cooks. There's just the three of us - my husband, daughter and myself. Of course the dog and cat will be part of the celebration as well :). Perhaps we will watch a Christmas movie after dinner as we enjoy our pumpkin pie. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

    1. Happy Thanksgiving, Betti! It sounds like you and your husband and daughter will have a lovely day together. I've been watching a few Hallmark movies these last few days. They sure make me want to go ahead and decorate for Christmas. :-)

  5. Hi Anne, thanks so much for highlighting The Governess of Highland Hall! It will be fun to see who wins a copy! I am looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving here at home with some of our family - two daughters, one son, one son-in-law, one granddaughter, and a couple more special friends. I'll be cooking a turkey and our traditional Seven-layer Salad, then we'll play games and watch a movie together. Some years we rake leaves, but this year they say the high will be 29, so . . . I think we'll stay inside. Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving to you!

  9. I'm celebrating Thanksgiving like we always do with my in-laws. They cook, I clean up. Then after digesting time, we all put up their big Christmas tree together every year. email: liladiller78 {at} gmail {dot} com.

    1. Sounds fun!! Lots of folks decorate for Christmas on Thanksgiving. I did it last year for the first time but will forego it this year. Our tree ended up being dry and dead before the middle of Dec. :(
