I'm making space on my bookshelves so this oldie but goodie is up for grabs! Even though it's an older book (2007, repackaged edition), it's in pretty good condition :)
Book one of "The Gresham Chronicles" takes readers to an 1860's English village, where recently bereaved Julia Hollis, determined to provide for her children, decides to renovate an old inn. With the help of the town's new vicar, it just might happen. But will a behind-the-scenes scheme jeopardize everything?
Leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway. CONTINENTAL US ONLY! Ends June 7th.
Nothing wrong with oldies but goodies! Thanks for givng us an opportunity to win a copy!

I've never heard of it but I would love to read it! It sounds great!
ReplyDeleteAnne you have almost inspired me to do get rid of some of my books... But it's like saying goodbye to a bestfriend. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for recommending this book and author. The story sounds quite interesting and I have not read anything with an English village setting lately. My husband and I do watch Doc Martin sometimes and it has that nice seaside village that makes you want to go there!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for your book to find its way to another loving home. If I should be the fortunate winner, please let me know at jsmithg(at)hotmail(dot)com.
Blessings, Janice

ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this author or book series. Sounds interesting and fun. Hugs! :O)
ReplyDeleteI've read this book and the two that follow and REALLY enjoyed them. To my mind, these books didn't follow the standard formula for historical romance in that the author follows the story of several characters and not just one specific couple, but I found myself in suspense of how all of their stories would end. Great reading!
ReplyDeletePlease don't enter me...I read this oh, so long ago! I wonder what happened to Lawana Blackwell? I have read alot of her books and then they just stopped coming.
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance to read this beautiful story :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad there's some interest in this book! I've got y'all in the hat ;)
ReplyDeleteDIANA brings up a good point about this author and her books. I haven't seen any new books out from her in a LONG time. She had some great series' of books, The Gresham Chronicles (which this book is the first), Tales of London series, and Victorian Serenade series from Heart Quest. I have no idea what happened to her or what she is doing now.
Thanks for this great giveaway! Looks like an excellent book! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks So Interesting! Thanks!
